Some good news on the injury front. Colin Blackwell is skating at the morning skate before tonight’s game against the Bruins. Blackwell has been out for about a week now with a lower body injury.
Blackwell has been a pleasant surprise for the Rangers on the wing this year. He’s been one of their better forward and earned a promotion from taxi squad to top-six winger. It will be interesting to see if the Rangers try him out at center, given the issues at that position.
Another thing to keep in mind is the current fourth line has been great, so if and when he returns, someone will have to sit. Either way, Colin Blackwell returning from injury is going to be a welcome addition.
