The Rangers begin life without Filip Chytil tonight in Buffalo against the surprising Sabres. As Rob pointed out, the Sabres are no pushover. They are one of the better teams in regards to underlying metrics. They also have some good top-six skill. They aren’t a *good* team, but this is a potential trap game for the Rangers.

The Rangers lines are unclear at the writing of this post, but it is assumed that Brett Howden will move up to the third line in place of Chytil. Brendan Lemieux will get back in the lineup, and Colin Blackwell will shift to center.
