The Rangers have given us their worst, their best, and their expected. Now they get the Penguins, who have received just awful goaltending this season. This means one of two things: This is going to be a high scoring game, or this is going to be a Penguins shutout. You know how this works, there’s no in between.
Joking aside, we will get Alexis Lafreniere on the top line today. Pavel Buchnevich, off to a great start, moves down to hopefully jump start the Panarin-Strome duo, which has struggled to start the season. The PDG-Chytil-Kakko trio, the Rangers’ best line thus far, remains intact. Tony DeAngelo returns to the lineup as well.
