NY Rangers release training camp roster

The NY Rangers have released their training camp roster. The roster has 35 skaters (of the 36 allowed) and 5 goalies.

The roster is almost as predicted last week. I whiffed on Patrick Newell, who is not on the list. He’s the only miss, replacing him with Gabriel Fontaine. I didn’t think Fontaine would be invited because of the injuries last season. Aside from that, the list is as expected. No PTOs, but that’s a minor point.

Ryan McDonagh’s #27 goes to Jack Johnson, which left some people miffed. It’s a number, and McDonagh’s number wasn’t going to be retired anyway. There are no real issues with the Rangers training camp roster. Let’s see how camp plays out.
