Around the Farm
Around the Farm: Only Yegor Rykov in action yesterday

It was a slow day for the NY Rangers prospects yesterday. Only Yegor Rykov was in action, playing 16 minutes in a 5-1 loss. The week gets busier as we get past the holiday, with the NCAA season getting rolling for a few other prospects.
Worth noting that Northeastern tweeted in a now deleted tweet that winter sports were delayed until December 18. That impacts Riley Hughes directly, but it could be a Hockey East thing as well. Something to keep an eye on.

Stats per EliteProspects.com.
Dave. Thanks for putting these updates together. Is there an (easy) way to pull and include average time on ice per player? I think that helps with context for each prospect. Thanks.
Yea I can probably include that going forward (may need you to pester me a lot so I remember – my brain is mush lately).
Thanks. Appreciate the time you put into these.
Thanks from here as well. Icetime tells us how important a player is to his team – at least in the eyes of his coach. Rykov’s number here suggest a third pair defenseman on an above average KHL team. Reuanen’s suggest a star in an a weaker league.
My read on the duo is that Rykov likely won’t ever be back while Reuanen is a big fish in a small pond whose response to stronger competition is in some ways unknowable.
