Around the Farm: Henriksson a healthy scratch for Frolunda

The NY Rangers only had no prospects in action today, but four did have games. Olof Lindbom and Adam Huska did not start. Lauri Pajuniemi is still injured. The surprise was that Karl Henriksson was a healthy scratch for Frolunda.

This isn’t really anything to get worked up about. Henriksson is 19 and playing in the SHL, not an easy ask. These things are bound to happen. He will be back in the lineup in no time.

  • Henriksson getting scratched is something to be worked up about.

Lundqvist has zero patience with young players and the prospect suffers because of it. I saw him do it with Vesalainen and now with Henriksson. He doesn’t head man the puck when it makes sense and then he complains the kid can’t do anything. It’s not becoming of a captain to treat the kids like that.

The hard part is finding a loan spot for him in the Allsvenskan where he can get quality minutes at C. Maybe Tingsryds.

    • “Lundqvist has zero patience with young players and the prospect suffers because of it.”

You can’t suck at whatever league that you’re in and claim “development”… We like results or the very worst, doing everything right besides scoring.. Clearly this kid isn’t putting in enough work in and after practices.. This is when the line of go big or go home applies 100% to the situation… In Henriksson position, go big or drop down to another league until you figure it out. I think reps/domination is how you build your skills up…

I have seen people who couldn’t handle rec leagues get called for sucking to long…. Fired after sucking on job for a week straight.. Or dropped out of class because they weren’t swift enough early in the semester.

Let’s just hope that this isn’t a “he’s out of his league” moment..

      • Lundqvist is on the 1st line because he wears the “C” and that is the only reason. But he does this 2 man F game without the youth player and the entire team suffers because of it.

I don’t really rate Henriksson, but I also know when he’s getting hosed.

If you look at the lineup sheet, they don’t play Raymond with Lundqvist. Quite a tap dance they have going on there. It gives me a bit of an insight of what the Rangers had to deal with in regards to Hank.

  • This is hilarious, clearly y guys dont know shit about SHL, Frölunda or Lundqvist. Also Henriksson is “sick” not a healthy scratch, they play Lucas Raymond on the top line with Mursak and Hjalmarsson to make the line ups more balanced aswell as using Lundqvist/Friberg doing what they do best forecheck. Lundqvist is a great leader oh and lets not forget the development success FHC has had eith Roger Rönnberg and Joel the last few years. Vesalainen didnt work out for whatever reason, that is fine, u cant get everyone to work out. But Look at FHC draft record last 10 years, it speaks for itself.
