Top stories from last week:

  • Libor Hajek may have broken the news that Henrik Lundqvist is on the verge of being bought out.
  • Even with the Lundqvist buyout, it is unlikely the Rangers retain all of their key free agents this Fall.
  • The Stanley Cup Final is underway, with Dallas grabbing a 1-0 series lead over Tampa.
  • The idea of Matt Martin was floated, which makes little sense for the Rangers.
  • Vitali Kravtsov is in the middle of a four game goal streak in the KHL.
  • The SHL season kicked off, making it the second Euro league to start its regular season.

  • Kravstov’s performance so far in the KHL makes me want him back on Garden Ice for next season. Andersson’s may be even better, but I think that bridge has been burned. However, it certainly makes him more valuable as a trade chip, doesn’t it? With the other talent in the pipeline, and the upcoming draft, things are looking good.

    • I think at this point the Rangers would do best letting Andersson build his value in the SHL and trade him if/when they can get decent value for a 7th overall draft pick.
