In sad news, former Rangers captain Bob Nevin has passed away.
The Rangers are saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Nevin. A captain and fan favorite during his tenure with NYR, his honest, two-way play and leadership earned him the respect & admiration of teammates & fans alike. Nevin came to the Rangers in 1964 in the famous Andy Bathgate trade, and almost immediately replaced Bathgate as captain. His career line with the Rangers was 168-174-342 in 505 games over eight seasons.
