Buchnevich, Shesterkin in New York, awaiting clearance to practice

Both Pavel Buchnevich and Igor Shesterkin are back in New York, per Colin Stephenson.

They are among the handful of local Rangers to be in the area to return to the ice. Since both were not in New York and had to travel, they are following the quarantine rules until being cleared to return to the ice.

Since camp size has doubled from six to twelve skaters allowed on the ice, it is expected that news like this will continue to trickle in. It was noted earlier that Kaapo Kakko and Alex Georgiev will be returning to New York on Friday. They too will need to follow the return to play guidelines before being cleared to practice.

“It has previously been reported the NJ coaching candidates were Alain Nasreddine (incumbent), Gerard Gallant, Peter Laviolette, John Stevens and a “mystery candidate.” Hearing that is NYR assistant Lindy Ruff, head coach in BUF (1997-2013) and DAL (2013-17).”
