rangers dallas stars

The Rangers fell for the trap game against the Devils, and now have an even steeper uphill climb if they are to make the playoffs. Dallas is their opponent tonight, and this is a team in a playoff spot that is also a low-event team. They really slow things down, and the Rangers historically have issues with these kinds of teams.

Igor Shesterkin gets the start tonight after a shaky outing over the weekend. The rest of the lines remain relatively unchanged, although that is likely to change throughout the game. Chris Kreider skated before practice, which is a good sign that he will play before this road trip is up.

The Blueshirts should be targeting 95 points now (down from 98, thanks to everyone losing), and have just four regulation losses and 1 OT loss remaining. The good news is they just need to tie whichever team is in that WC2 spot, since they hold the RW tiebreaker.
