Top stories from the last two weeks:
- The Rangers went 2-2 this week, with impressive gutty wins over the Islanders and Montreal, before getting crushed by the Flyers twice.
- Podcast: Have you checked out our most recent Live From The Blue Seats recording?
- Trade Deadline: The Rangers were relatively quiet for the deadline, but their two moves were big ones, sending Brady Skjei to the Carolina Hurricanes for a first round pick, and extending Chris Kreider to a seven-year contract worth $6.5 million per season. Read up on our summary here.
- Injury Updates: Pavel Buchnevich and Igor Shesterkin were injured in a car accident the night before the trade deadline. Buchnevich has returned, and Shesterkin is practicing. His timeline is still up in the air. Chris Kreider fractured his foot and is out indefinitely.
- Hartford Wolf Pack Update: The Pack went 1-2-0 last week. The Pack are now 28-14-4-5 and have dropped to 3rd place in the division. This team has been gutted by recalls and simply can’t produce the offense needed to skate with the best in the AHL.
