For the first time in three years, hockey after the trade deadline means something in New York. The Rangers could have sold. They did not. They bet on this team, and this team is currently riding high, going 9-1-0 in their last ten and have won 12 of their last 15 games. In their way is old friend Alain Vigneault, who has his Flyers comfortable in the playoff picture.
Pavel Buchnevich is a game time decision, and if he doesn’t go it will be the same lineup. The Rangers have sorely missed Buchnevich, as their offensive consistency has taken a nosedive with him out of the lineup. They’ve found ways to win, but getting him back will balance out the lineup.
