The Rangers have recalled defenseman Joey Keane from the Hartford Wolf Pack. Keane, by far the best defenseman on the Pack, has a line of 8-20-28 in 48 games with the Pack. The 2018 3rd round pick is the leading defense scorer on the team and fourth overall scorer.
Keane is a RD, so this may be a precaution for a Tony DeAngelo injury for tonight’s game. Or, since it’s the trade deadline, could be a precursor of things to come.
Either way, the AHL rookie has earned this recall.
