NY Rangers Game 46 Open Thread: Another date with the Isles

The second of three in two weeks

The Rangers and Islanders are back at it tonight for the second time this week. The Rangers have been off since their 6-2 drubbing of the Isles on Monday, while the Isles had the lowly Red Wings the next day. This is their third in four nights, so they may be a little fatigued as the game wears on. Something to keep an eye on.

Also something to keep an eye on is how chippy last game got. Both teams remember, and this should be a little more old timey hockey tonight. I’d expect some fights early on too. There’s some bad blood brewing between these two clubs again.

  • With Cizikis and Martin back on the ice, this will be a different type of game than the end to end track meet on Monday. We may see what the real Rangers game is about tonight.

  • Can we win a face off!?!??? The islanders center gets kicked out of the circle and we still can’t win a face off.

    • Going to have to find a way to cheer Tony up! Hey man, they won again, and beat the Islanders too, that has to make you smile! 🙂

      • LOL, they came back nicely Peter. It’s just that first period was such a sh-tshow. But they showed resilience. 🙂

  • Nice game Georgie! And Kreider, with the gamewinner minutes after being legwhipped by Boychuck.

Refs let the Isles get away with manslaughter tonight.
