NY Rangers Game 43 Open Thread: Jack Hughes avoids Kaapo Kakko

Another game where Jack Hughes is avoiding Kaapo Kakko

Another game against the Devils, another mysterious “injury” for Jack Hughes to avoid facing his bitter rival, Kaapo Kakko. Legend has it these two separated at birth, and force fed subliminal messages about how the other likes to mess with donkeys. This in turn has spewed incredible hatred and these two have been at odds ever since.

The science experiment took a turn for the worse when the Devils and Rangers landed the top two picks in their draft year, taking these bitter rivals and ensuring they always face each other on the ice for the rest of their natural born lives. With Kakko starting to dominate the talk and close the draft gap, the rivalry was intensified.

That was until Hughes found a way out of the competition by simply being injured whenever Kakko comes to town. It’s an effective way to avoid your rival.

I think I jumped the shark on this one.

  • Let’s win this one for the Gipper, and burn that hot dog Subban!!!!!!!!!!! Please pass the mustard…………..

  • I just want to say the rangers are undefeated with Igor in net.

The Shesterkin hype? It’s alive. It’s allliivvvee.

  • Please fix your Ranger PK defense. It has been wrong for weeks. The second unit (or is it the first now) is Lindgren on the left and Staal on the right, not the Staal-Smith pairing of old. And Lindgren-Staal so far has been superb.

  • FYI folks:

Per source very close to the situation, Lias got wind of the English translations and wanted his agent to clarify.

    Darren Dreger

I called @TitanSports365 Jarrett Bousquet following up on Lias Andersson situation. Bousquet clarifies Andersson has not been diagnosed with mental health issues and doesn’t suffer from depression or anxiety. He is however, upset with his situation with the Rangers.

  • A hat trick for Tony D, the kid is going to get a huge pay raise next season, A five point game for the defenseman, with two assists to go along with the hat trick. Good for you kid, prove all the naysayers that they were wrong!!!!!!!!!

    • Right on Walt. Deangelo is proving to the critics that not only is he a talented young defenceman, but also that the Rangers were the clear winners in the Stepan trade.

  • I am convinced that Buch has the Yips. I’m serious. The organization should look into him seeing a sports psychologist.
