The Rangers are back in action tonight against an Arizona Coyotes team that is built to contend and is pretty skilled. Adding Phil Kessel in the offseason really made that top line a potent force, and they have some decent depth to round out the lineup. They also play a puck possession game, which in this matchup for the Rangers presents a nightmare.
The Blueshirts, meanwhile, have jumbled their lines again. But it’s only lipstick on a pig. There are serious structure issues going on here. It’s a rebuild, and this is clearly a step back from last year’s team. I think those that didn’t wear the rose colored glasses saw this coming.
