Looking at the 2019-2020 New York Rangers schedule

The Rangers released their 2019-2020 schedule:

As previously announced, the scheduler makers have a sense of humor, with the home opener against Winnipeg. The Rangers then have a weird six days off, a game, then four days off, then a back to back. That’s just odd schedule making. The Rangers have 11 back to backs, which doesn’t seem like many, but that’s 25% of the season as back to backs. November, February, and March are their busiest months.

There are some notable games here, such as the first Kakko/Hughes matchup on October 17. Kevin Hayes returns to MSG on March 1, although I can’t imagine a tearful tribute. The Rangers will acknowledge him though.

Mats Zuccarello’s return will be heartfelt. He will get a video. That date we don’t know though.
