David Quinn’s lineup shuffle continues, as Tony DeAngelo will be back in the lineup tonight. Cody McLeod is the guy he’s replacing, meaning the Rangers will be running 11 forwards and 7 defensemen tonight. DeAngelo will be on the fourth line with Boo Nieves and Jimmy Vesey.
By replacing McLeod with DeAngelo, Quinn has created a solid fourth line via the Corsica player ratings. McLeod is currently ranked as the 130th best Left Winger to play in the NHL this year.
Another reason why wasting roster spots matter, even if it's smaller TOI. pic.twitter.com/Q9OJVOtyol

Funny enough, the fourth line with DeAngelo as a winger is better than the fourth line with McLeod, a forward, as the winger. As Rob said, ice time matters.
Food for thought: Is this the beginning of the transition of DeAngelo to forward? It wouldn’t shock me.
