Game 41: Change things up, please

The Rangers are back at it this afternoon in Arizona, taking on old friend Derek Stepan and the Coyotes. The Rangers have been outscored 13-3 in their previous two games, and it looks like a good number of players have given up. At some point, we knew the bottom would fall out on the overachieving Rangers of October, and it certainly has.

On the bright side, the lineup is changing. Tony DeAngelo, who has been a scratch for some inexplicable reason that defies all logic, is back in the lineup. He’s no saving grace, but the veterans are bad and DeAngelo is far from the only problem. So may as well play him and see what he has.

Brendan Smith is back…hooray.

You think Hayes is actually hurt? Or maybe there’s a trade coming up and all the players are trying to send a message? It’s like no one is really trying the last few games now that I got a chance to watch em.

Remember last year when Hank did his back to back 50 save wins vs Calgary and Vancouver? Well the Preds and Blues were those games this season. He stood on his head, got 2 wins, and then the wheels fell completely off for him and the team. I expect that we are going to hear Hank has a “minor injury” (didn’t see him on the bench for the 3rd and I don’t think he was available post game) and that Georg is going to start the next several games. And the trades are about to go down. The other thought, after hearing both Vally and Maloney, float trade talk for Hank is whether there are in fact some serious discussions happening. That didn’t come out of thin air…

    Zib was a -3?? Yikes.

Chytil was suppose to be a future top 6 centerman who can make this rebuild excel faster in 2-3 years? I don’t think so…

    Skjei still sucks?

    Good boys lol

Well obviously the spiritual presence of Tony DeAngelo in the lineup that he cast down from the press box made the Rangers suck today! It makes perfect sense to play Slow Motion McQuaid, Brendan Brain Cramp Smith and Suddenly Overpaid Shattenkirk because they are the future of the franchise! I get it Quinn, we must win even though we can’t, and we should play the dead wood because we think the kid makes too many mistakes even though the vets make as many! Glad that has been cleared up!
