The Rangers begin their second trip out west tonight, taking on the very top heavy Colorado Avalanche. I say top heavy because outside of their top line and top pairing, this Avs team has no business being as good as they are. But that top line is one of the best in the league, and here we are, watching Colorado atop the standings (in a bad division).
As for the Blueshirts, they are going to try to play a little better. However it’s the same blue line dressing, despite the recent debacles, so who knows. It’s Alex Georgiev in net tonight, with Henrik Lundqvist getting a much needed day off. Jimmy Vesey is back in the lineup too.
