The injury bug continues for the Rangers. Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk, who left Monday’s game against the Lightning early after a hit from JT Miller, has been diagnosed with a separated shoulder. He will be out 2-4 weeks.

This may be a blessing in disguise for Shatty, who has been inconsistent at best for the Rangers all year. Perhaps this gives his knee some extra time to heal.

It is expected that Brendan Smith will be back in the lineup on Friday.
