K’Andre Miller, Joey Keane added to 2019 US World Junior team preliminary roster

Defensemen K’Andre Miller (2018, 1st), and Joey Keane (2018, 3rd) have been named to the preliminary roster for the US team for 2019 World Juniors. It is expected that Miller will be a shoo-in for the team, as he is currently tearing it up with Wisconsin (3-12-15 in 16 games).

Keane was a bit of a sleeper pick by the Rangers in the third round, but has been nothing but solid for the Barrie Colts in the OHL. He has a line of 3-15-18 in 25 games. Keane is one of two RHD’s on the list, so I would be surprised if he doesn’t make the team.

At the risk of repeating myself, I think Miller might be a beast of a defenseman in 2 – 3 years.

Rangers did pretty well with their last defenseman from UWisconsin, he was their captain and best dman since Brian Leetch—a guy named Ryan McDonagh. As a freshman Miller is putting up better numbers. So maybe save the sarcasm, and bring some optimism to your fandom—Miller is gonna be a great NHL player.

He is a converted forward, and he possess some big time offensive skills. He also happens to be one hell of a skater…………..

I saw the kid play against Penn State, and had a goal, with three assists. The kid is the real deal for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s doing all this while playing against the other team’s top lines. He’s getting the toughest assignments and that speaks volumes about his performance so far this year. I agree, he can be a beast and has potential IMPACT d’man written all over him.

Don’t sleep on Keane either. Not in Miller’s class but could be an NHLer.
