Game 21: Keep on rolling against Dallas

The Rangers are back in action tonight against the Dallas Stars, as they will look to continue their roll. Believe it or not, and I had to double check to be sure, the Rangers are 7-2-1 in their last ten games. Yes, that’s correct. The Rangers have ridden a strong end of October and November into a tie with the Islanders for second place in the division.

I know I keep saying this, but I don’t expect the Rangers to continue winning games like this. That said, I didn’t expect them to win this many games this early in the season. So what do I know?

Dallas is without John Klingberg, but they are still a pretty decent team. Their top talent is very good, so this could be another track meet. It seems most games lately are track meets. They are fun, but my heart rate can’t really handle it.

Man, Valeri Nichushkin on the 4th line … in all honesty watching him play in his rookie year I thought he was going to be an absolute stud. When Dallas gets tired of him, someone should snatch him up — unless he’s truly a total headcase.

      Copy that tanto

They are really trying to get Ryan Strome going. He’s playing both right and left wing on two separate lines tonight

So Cody Highlander is not a healthy scratch? If Fogarty is replacing Leteri that is

I do feel like something is up with all the Centers being called up. DQ has issues getting Chytil ice-time at center… so we bring up Lias Andersson, and pair him with McCleod on the 4th line (which is EXACTLY what he said we wouldn’t do with him and the reason he started the season in Hartford).

So we’re already in a logjam up the middle, and move Chytil to the wing. Lias is still in a bad place here, so we call up another center in Fogarty? Feels like there is a deal that’s really close…

There are not a lot of options. Buchnevich and Zuccarello are not playing because they are hurt. Lettieri is back in Hartford becasue he cannot play at the NHL level. Gettinger is surely not ready yet. So the possible replacements are Beleskey, Holland, Nieves. The Rangers are not playing a credible fourth line because they do not have one.

Great to watch a group of guys that compete … even though we still gotta deal with Staal !

Another W…I love this new Ranger team. Young fiesty and lots of determination on the ice.

Holy Chytil! The kid can play. That game was tough to watch through 2 but the Rangers played a nice 3rd. Dallas obviously gassed and who thought it was a good idea to go back to back with Bishop given his injury history? Hank closed it out with a great assist from Claesson. In fact, all the Swedes had good games tonight. Now if they can just beat the Islanders. Georgiev anyone?

Its great seeing Chytil start to heat up. So glad they kept him up with the big team and moved him to the first line where he belongs. I think no one is benefiting more from Quinn than Vesey. Great goal last night.

It’s ironic. Everyone expected a bad year, myself included, and they may be painful to watch. This team is so much more fun to watch than the team from last season. There’s a long way to go and things can change, but the compete level of this team is exactly what we needed.

That’s what happens when you have hungry young kids playing for you!!!!

I’ve been screaming for this what seems like an eternity, and now it’s fun to watch. Gone are the old farts who made their money, and played with zero emotion!!!!!!!!

We need to crush the ICELANDERS in every area and keep the streak going.
