The Rangers haven’t looked as bad as everyone said they would look through two games, but still haven’t come away with a win yet. They have their third chance tonight in Carolina, against a Hurricanes team that is expected to be good. We’ve been saying that for a few years now, and they never seem to pan out.
This year may be a little different though. They went out and got Dougie Hamilton. Second overall pick Andre Svechnikov is in the lineup now. They upgraded in net with Petr Mrazek. They addressed most of their needs, albeit at the expense of Jeff Skinner, and appear to be better on paper.
As for the Rangers, well they are looking for their first win this year. Alex Georgiev gets the start today on the back-to-back. Let’s see if the Rangers can get anything consistent on offense going.
