Game 1: The Rebuild begins against Nashville

The new season is upon us, and the rebuild officially gets underway tonight. The Rangers are hosting Stanley Cup hopeful Nashville tonight, which will be a tough first test for the young Rangers and David Quinn.

There is no sugar coating this, we should expect a rough year filled with losses and face palm moments. There will be ups. There will be downs. There will be strings of losses. That said, this team has the goaltending and forward depth to surprise a lot of people. It may not be likely, but it is certainly possible.

Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate the young dman Boinks skill set. But he is an adventure out there on the ice. As Torts once said in a press conference…he scares me.

Clear cache on your phone. I just checked mine in regular and private browsing, and looks good to me.

I deleted my cache and all my stored data, no dice yet. Well, the march of progress always has some casualties!

That was just a good goal….aside from Skjei pinch…which was not a bad play….can’t fault a soul…just a great shot….pionk snow angel did exactly what it was supposed to do….take away the pass….Leaky has been good

Snow angels are fine as long as it’s not Girardi. Then we never hear the end of it.

Whose idea was it to use Brian Stabile’s retarded nicknames? They add no value to an orherwise informed site.

    Kreider sucks

    • Oct 4, 2018 at 10:36 pm

Isn’t it funny when we say that about him, we get the obvious reply about how we shouldn’t be sad because he’s not in the 10-12% of 60+ points? Every team has a top scoring winger who didn’t average 20-22 goals, Kreider’s overall points are similar next to our past 3c Hayes, check em out for yourself. This guy has averaged 40 something points during the golden years ( 2014 and 2015 ) when he was playing with Brassard, Nash, MSL and a prime Zucc. JG had him on the trade block last October so it might happen again.

Btw he’s only beast mode when he scores other wise he’s a very very good 2nd liner who got in the low 50s ONCE.

I would trade him without batting an eye

Why are we calling this a “rebuild?” But for a garbage defense we’d be competitive.

  • Oct 5, 2018 at 11:20 am

Nashville gave up more shots and scoring chances then the Rangers. Yet they have one of the league’s best Blueline and the Rangers are garbage. I really don’t understand what fans are expecting for defensemen. 6 Brian Leetchs making end to end rushes everything time they touch the puck?Really it’s getting old.
