In a move that is LONG overdue, the Rangers will be retiring Vic Hadfield’s #11 in a ceremony on December 2. The jersey retirement was announced in February of this year during Jean Ratelle’s jersey retirement ceremony. Now a date has been set.

The GAG line was perhaps the best line in Rangers history. Alongside Ratelle and Rod Gilbert, Hadfield set the single season record for goals with 50, which stood for 22 years before Adam Graves broke the record in 1994.

Hadfield spent 13 seasons with the Rangers, putting up a total line of 262-310-572 in 839 games. His career year was 1971-72, where he put up 50-56 for 106 points.
