Check another to-do off the list. Brady Skjei has re-upped long-term with the Rangers, signing for six years at $5.25 million per year. Skjei is likely going to slide in as the top pairing defenseman on the left side, and getting him long-term through his age-30 season is a very good move by Jeff Gorton.

The term and salary is fair for both sides, considering three UFA years were bought for this deal. It is expected that Skjei improves on his 4-21-25 season last year with a more stable coach and role. Overall, a great deal for both sides.
