The Rangers have made a minor league swap with the Washington Capitals, sending Adam Chapie and Joe Whitney. Albert, a 29 year old forward, has a line of 3-8-11 in 33 games with Hershey this year. Labrie, a 26 year old defenseman, has a line of 1-6-7 in 35 AHL games this year.

Chapie was signed by the Rangers as an undrafted free agent in 2016. The 26 year old forward has a line of 2-5-7 in 31 games in Hartford. Whitney was signed to an AHL deal, and the 30 year old forward has a line of 9-10-19 in 40 AHL games.

This is a move for the Pack, nothing more.
