Rangers place Adam Cracknell on waivers

The Adam Cracknell experiment in New York has come to an end. The forward is on waivers after a brief stay in New York. His line with the Rangers: four games, -1 rating, no points.

Cracknell was an interesting add on paper as a solid defensive forward. He never really impressed the coaching staff, so off he goes. The Rangers are still in a state of flux with their roster. Perhaps the best choices to fill out the fourth line are in Hartford.

  1. That leaves them with 12 forwards on the roster. I’m assuming this is a precursor to calling someone up from Hartford.

  2. It begs the question: what do they expect out of the 4th line?

If they want extra offense for 8-10 minutes, the player that can provide it (Chytil) is better suited staying in Hartford and getting minutes. Until he’s *ready* ready, keep on double shifting Miller & Ziba and sign some cementhead to get the boys fired up when they go down 2 goals who logs 30 seconds of ice time and as many PIM per game.

If they’re looking for a line that doesn’t kill them and chips in the odd goal, I’d swap Buchnevich & Nash, plug Nieves in(if you want pure speed) or Fogarty(if you need a solid checking center who can spring Grabner & Nash.)

  3. this experiment didn’t work now there are rumors with Kreider heading to Montreal what a coincidence that we will be there on the weekend

    1. Kreider to Price-ville? Seriously? They want to lynch Kreider in Montreal. Who started this rumor, the Oval Office?
