Ty Ronning

Ty Ronning, the Rangers’ 7th round pick in 2016, will be joining the Hartford Wolf Pack on an ATO for the rest of the season. Ronning wrapped up his fourth season in the WHL, finishing with a line of 25-28-53 in 68 games. That’s six goals off his totals from the prior year.

The 5’9″, 170 lb winger is Cliff Ronning’s son, and has been one of the more intriguing picks by the Rangers over the past years. Clearly skilled and fast, Ronning has the tools to make it to the NHL. The only issue is going to be his size, however that seems to be less of a barrier lately.

The Pack desperately needs an injection of youth, and it wouldn’t shock me to see Ronning sign an ELC this summer and join the Pack full time next year.
