Rangers return Chris Summers to Hartford

Klein’s absence from the lineup has created a hole. Which begs the question: why is this so obvious now when the fancy stats on Klein were not that impressive this year? Answer: if you ignore fancy stats you’re in trouble, and if you put all your faith in fancy stats you are also in trouble.

Huh? The dropoff from Klein to Hunwick was marginal. The issue was that Summers had to play.

Also, basically you’re saying the Rangers lost 3 of 4, and it’s Hunwick’s/Summers’ fault? Huh?

Yes, I’d rather have Klein paired with Staal than Boyle or Yandle facing the other team’s top two lines, not that I think Hunwick has been terrible. I just think the Rangers are better suited to playoff hockey with Klein in there.
