Call Ups/Demotions
J.T. Miller recalled
The Rangers have recalled forward J.T. Miller from the AHL. This is Miller’s fourth stint with the team this season, and he has put together a line of 2-2-4 in 25 games at the NHL level. In the AHL, Miller is one of Hartford’s best players, putting together a line of 10-16-26 in 26 games, including 3-14-17 in his most recent stint.
The call up likely means that Derek Dorsett is not ready to return to the lineup from his broken leg.
They need to keep Miller on Hartford. I assume this is a short term solution. He does not belong on the 4th line. Michael Haley should have been called up. The dude is physical, can occassionally score and drops the gloves. And Haley would only be up a few days.
I’d venture a guess that he’d be a third liner on this recall. He’s taking Zuccarello’s spot, not Dorsett’s.
Indeed. Nothing wrong with playing alongside Pouliot and Brassard. However, get well soon Zuccarello.
Maybe he’s taking Cally’s spot prior to trade.
Boyle could fill that role. He has before.
Parading the horses before the auction.
