It’s Sunday, that means it’s time for the post draft link dump. I’m sure you guys have been reading nothing but draft news, so here are some non-draft links for your Sunday reading pleasure.

Kevin DeLury of NY Rangers Blog helped raise over $7,000 for Defending the Blue Line, Derek Boogaard’s main charity, in memory of the Rangers enforcer. Kevin held a Boogaard memorial logo contest, and the winning logo was placed on a t-shirt, which the money raised went directly to the charity. Great job Kevin.

Jesse Spector of the Daily News says that the Rangers are the front runners in the Brad Richards sweepstakes. It makes sense, as Tampa is out of the running with the need to sign Steven Stamkos, the Flyers don’t have the cap space, and Toronto doesn’t win. It seems likely that on July 1, Richards will be in Rangers blue. But at what cost?

The 2011-2012 schedule has been released. It’s interesting to note that the Rangers don’t play a home game until October 27, as ownership looks to get MSG presentable for the regular season. That means the Rangers open with five away games (plus two “away” games in Sweden), and then six straight home games. They also play seven straight home games in March, which could help them in the stretch run.
