STATE OF THE BLUESHIRTS: After a weak showing in Carolina, the Connecticut Whale are in Atlanta to face the surprising Thrashers. Considering they just lost to Carolina, this is a borderline must win game for the Rangers. Both Carolina and Atlanta will be heard from during the playoff push, and one or both may knock a team out of the playoffs come April. Wins against the Southeast are becoming more important, and with the Thrashers up 1-0 in this year’s series, a win tonight helps the Rangers in more ways than one.

CRAZY THOUGHT: Drury gets a goal.
