RANGERS LINEUP (Assumption, based on Callahan’s injury):

Derek Boogaard-Derek Stepan-Evgeny Grachev

Henrik Lundqvist
Martin Biron

Scratched tonight: Marian Gaborik (shoulder), Chris Drury (finger), Vinny Prospal (knee), Ryan Callahan (hit from behind), and Matt Gilroy (healthy).

STATE OF THE BLUESHIRTS: The roller coaster ride continues for the Rangers. After winning five of seven games to end October and begin November, the Rangers had a clunker last night against the Flyers, losing 4-1. Tonight the Rangers are attempting to get back on track against a struggling, and injury-riddled, New Jersey Devils team that is without Zach Parise, Brian Rolston, and Martin Brodeur tonight. Although the Devils are struggling, they always play the Rangers tough, and are always a dangerous team. Hopefully the Rangers come out strong tonight and put the poor performance from last night behind them.

CRAZY THOUGHT: Grachev nets his first goal as a Ranger (this one is still here until he scores). Avery gets under Kovalchuk’s skin…again.
