This week in the OHL, two Rangers prospects made the cut for the plays of the week. Jason Wilson (2010, 5th round) came in at #4, where he used his speed to break down the left wing past the defense and slide a nice backhand past the goaltender. Christian Thomas (2010, 2nd round) had the #1 play of the week, when he was knocked down from behind while in front of the net, slid to a rebound, and from his knees roofed a shot past the netminder. Thomas’ goal looks to be a microcosm of his season thus far, where he has eight goals in four games. Thomas looks like the real deal, and another in the line of strong second round picks by the Rangers in recent years.

Stick-tap to BSBer Brian for the heads up on this one.
