Well, we are back to getting these open threads for the games. Sorry about not getting them up for the earlier games.

Our beloved Blueshirts face off against Fatso Martin Brodeur and the Devils tonight at the Rock. This is the first of two three games in four nights for the Rangers, who are coming off a dominant 5-2 win over the Senators on Saturday night, after dropping the opener in Pittsburgh 3-2.

For the Rangers, the key to success is the strong play of the top line. It would also be awesome if they could capitalize on the powerplay this game. They have looked good with the extra man, but haven’t been able to put one home. That will change though, as this powerplay has significantly less problems that last year’s version.

The Rangers are marching out the same lineup tonight, which means Henrik Lundqvist will be playing his third game in four nights. Sean Avery is still out with a knee injury, and there is no need to rush him back.

The Devils are playing their second game of the year, dropping their opener to Philly 5-2. Jacques Lemaire coached Marian Gaborik for eight years, so expect them to have an answer for him tonight. That said, they will need someone other than Zach Parise to score for them to have a chance tonight.

Game time is at 7pm on Versus (ugh). Be prepared for minimal highlights and questionable in-game analysis. Feel free to use this as the open thread for the game.
