Raise your hand if you thought the Rangers would be up 2-0 coming back to the Garden for Game Three.

Is your hand up? Yes? Liar?

No one thought that our beloved Blueshirts would be up 2-0 coming home for Game Three. Most of us even thought that coming back 1-1 would be a miracle in itself. It’s amazing what a little goaltending (and a timely crossbar) can do for you.

Now, the Rangers are going to need to push their metaphorical foot a little harder on the Caps’ neck. They can’t slack off and let the Caps take this game. 3-0 sounds a lot better than 2-1. Henrik Lunndqvist will need to be strong ridiculous again tonight, but the Rangers will need to find a way to solve young netminder Simeon Varlamov, who was very sharp in his playoff debut. One goal just won’t cut it again. They will also need to find a way to score on the powerplay on a 17-20% clip at minimum.

Obligatory mentioning of how awesome Ryan Callahan is.

Not much else to say. Same lineup, as you would expect. Game is on 7pm on Versus/MSG tonight. Enjoy.

Update 2:50pm: Apparently the Rangers are in Ovie’s head, or Ovie was trying to get into the Rangers head by showing up at the Rangers’ morning skate. As per Rick Carpiniello, Ovie was there, then asked to leave. No big deal really.
