As Toronto comes to New York for a hockey game tonight, we take a step back and realize that the Rangers are hitting the road for the next four games, and there’s a solid chance that one or more of Mats Zuccarello, Kevin Hayes, and Chris Kreider (along with others) may not be returning with the team. With the trade deadline a little under three weeks away, moves may get made while the team is traveling.
Beyond that, the Blueshirts are hosting the Maple Leafs, who just added Jake Muzzin to an already dangerous team. The forwards are legit great and the defense just got bolstered big time. If Tampa is the run away favorite, then Toronto is the clear cut second most dangerous team in the East. That will be a fun series to watch in the (checks notes) second round…
