DeAngelo in, McLeod out, 11F/7D tonight against LA

David Quinn’s lineup shuffle continues, as Tony DeAngelo will be back in the lineup tonight. Cody McLeod is the guy he’s replacing, meaning the Rangers will be running 11 forwards and 7 defensemen tonight. DeAngelo will be on the fourth line with Boo Nieves and Jimmy Vesey.

Funny enough, the fourth line with DeAngelo as a winger is better than the fourth line with McLeod, a forward, as the winger. As Rob said, ice time matters.

Food for thought: Is this the beginning of the transition of DeAngelo to forward? It wouldn’t shock me.

"DeAngelo in, McLeod out, 11F/7D tonight against LA", 5 out of 5 based on 3 ratings.

What the ???? How bad are we? Trade or cut McLoad and get a real forward from Hartford. You would think we are out of moves or that Hartford has the mumps the way we are afraid to pull forwards. ENOUGH WITH 7D!

This reminds me of the time that someone said the Jets had 3 legitimate QBs. Translation – no good QBs. We have 7 defenseman, meaning we do not have ANY legit defenseman. Get rid of 2 defenseman and remake the 4th line with all Hartford kids. We are doomed I tell ya.

You’re analogy of the Jets saying they had “three legit Q-backs” is exactly correct.

I have certainly heard worse Ideas about ADA. So why not a forward? Although his D has not been terrible. Certainly compared to anyone else playing D on this team. And he and Staal seemed to have some chemistry. At least he’s in the line up tonight.

Watch Kyle Clifford take runs at the defense all night lol. I hope ADA gives the team a good impression as a forward for now on.

Weird call on the lineup but I’m okay with just about anything that gets McLeod out of the game. Thought Georgi would go tonight instead of Hank. Not sure of the rationale to keep playing him so much. Ah well. Planning to just enjoy watching Zucc and Hayes until the inevitable, but if Brooks is right and Pitt goes after Zucc I’m gonna be really unhappy…

Considering ADA has been one of our best 2-3 d’men this year this is a stupid idea. Try Pionk at forward, his defensive play couldn’t get any worse. lol

Agree… but I think Quinn will be rotating ADA into the defense, presumably ( hopefully) at the expense of Pionk. Maybe Shatty too.

Says Smith will go up to forward if need be.

I have a better idea: Sit McQuaid, start DeAngelo as a Dman, waive McLeod, bring up Belesky or Andersson from Hartford.

Quinn’s handling of Tony D is nuts.

Fast should be put on the 4th line to take care of that line.

ADA is getting in the line up, holy shit, what happened?????????

DQ must have consumed a dozen, or two, adult beverages last night, celebrating the Pats win, and is still under the influence of the spirits!!!!!!!
