World Juniors Update: Three of four Rangers prospects advance to Semis

Three of four Rangers prospects advanced to the semi-finals of the 2019 World Junior Championship.

K’Andre Miller and Team USA beat the Czechs 3-1. Miller was held off the scoresheet in this one, and has one assist in the four contests to date.

Vitali Kravtsov and Russia cruised 8-3 over Slovakia, with Kravtsov notching an assist. He has a line of 2-4-6 in 5 games thus far.

Nico Gross and Switzerland stunned Nils Lundkvist and Sweden 2-0 in one of two huge upsets in the bottom half of the bracket. Both players were held off the scoresheet. Gross has one assist in five contests thus far. Lundkvist ends his tournament with a goal and an assist in five games.

Miller and Kravtsov will face each other in the semis, and it is widely believed that the winner of that game will take gold. That game will be tomorrow at 1pm EST. Gross and Switzerland will take on Finland, who stunned Canada in OT, later that day at 5pm EST.
