The Rangers, fresh off a blown 3-0 lead on Friday night, are back in action this afternoon against the defending Western Conference Champions Vegas Golden Knights. I spelled that out because it is still weird for me that an expansion team won the West last year.

The last time these two teams faced off at MSG, the Rangers won a spirited game that actually saved Alain Vigneault’s job. Well, it saved his job for the rest of the season. This time around, the Rangers are sliding and Vegas is surging. The Blueshirts are competitive, but Vegas is riding some wave right now. This might get ugly.

Oh and hey, old friend Nick Holden returns to MSG tonight.
