After yesterday’s debacle, the Rangers are looking to rebound against Alex Ovechkin and the Caps. The defending champs are one point ahead of the Rangers in the standings right now with a game in hand, so this is actually a relatively important game if you think the Rangers can make the playoffs.

Tim Gettinger makes his NHL debut today, fresh off his recall last night. It will be interesting to see how he fares, as a big kid with some potential skating concerns. The lineup isn’t confirmed yet, but my guess is he slides in for the probably still injured Mats Zuccarello.

Caps lineup:

Alex Ovechkin-Evgeni Kuznetsov-Chandler Stephenson
Jakub Vrana-Nicklas Backstrom-TJ Oshie
Andre Burakovsky-Lars Eller-Brett Connolly
