The Rangers are in Philly tonight to take on a Flyers team that is firmly in the playoffs. There isn’t much of a spoiler role to play here either. So it’s one of those meaningless games for the Blueshirts, even if there is some fun in beating the Flyers.
No Lias Andersson or Filip Chytil yet. Sounds like the team is calling them up at the same time, which means it will be for Monday’s game against Washington. No Henrik Lundqvist either, no surprise after his collision on Tuesday.
Flyers Systems
Dave Hakstol runs a 1-2-2 forecheck, and a low zone collapse in the defensive zone. The PP is probably a 1-3-1/umbrella hybrid, and the PK is probably a hybrid as well. For more on hockey systems, follow this link. Their systems are relatively simple, to be frank.
