Update: Lines for tonight are Chris Kreider-Mika ZIbanejad-Rick Nash; Jimmy Vesey-Derek Stepan-Mats Zuccarello; Jesper Fast-Kevin Hayes-J.T.MIller; Michael Grabner-Josh Jooris-Brandon Pirri. Defense pairs are Ryan McDonagh-Nick Holden; Marc Staal-Adam Clendening; Brady Skjei-Dylan McIlrath.

Original Post: Per Steve Zipay, both Dan Girardi (hip) and Pavel Buchnevich (back) are out tonight against San Jose. Girardi was expected to be out, but the Buchnevich news is new for today.

Josh Jooris will likely dress tonight in Buchnevich’s place. My guess is that Pirri gets Buchnevich’s spot with Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad, while Jooris slides in to the 4C role.

If Kevin Klein still can’t go, then expect Dylan McIlrath to get into tonight’s game.

Watch for McIlrath to get sheltered minutes. And god forbid he makes a Girardi-like mistake, he will sit the rest of the game.

When did Buch hurt his back? I would move Vesey up to that line and get him away from Stepan as soon as possible, as Stepan makes no one around him better.

DMAC will have the lowest TOI tonight, I guarantee it. Agree with you totally on Vesey, he should be playing with Hayes & Miller.

So Fast is moving up to play with Hayes & Miller, not Pirri?

    • HARLEMBLUES says:

I agree Sal on Stepan but put Miller with Stepan and get Zuccs away from him. See how Krieder is doing with a true number one. Miller’s style fits better with Stepan than Mats.

When did Buch hurt his back?

I think when he was carrying G on one of his shifts.

Perfect example of why the Rangers forward depth is such a luxury.

Top 9 winger goes down and the lineup doesn’t miss a beat with the Pirri upgrade and Jooris dressing.

Hopefully Buch’s injury is nothing too serious, that KZB line has been terrific.

Yea well it seems that Fast is moving into Buch’s spot. Seriously send AV to the sun. The guy is out of his mind. Fast is an ideal fourth line winger. Move Pirri up. Jooris is a perfect fourth line center. Why is this so hard?

  5. Leatherneck says:

    Fire AV

So these are his lines? Seriously? He is an idiot…..Fire AV

  6. Leatherneck says:

Why is Pirri not in the top 9 is mind blowing

  7. Spozo says:

Is it even fun to watch a game when you’ve already decided before it starts that the product the coach will put on the ice is god awful?

Is there any takers for Nash and his $sss?
