Hockey is back, folks. The Rangers have released the lineup for tomorrow’s preseason opener against the Isles:

I’m very intrigued by the Chris Kreider-Mika Zibanejad-Pavel Buchnevich line. That seems like a potential second line and an audition for Buchnevich for the top-six. The Brandon Pirri-Josh Jooris-Niklas Jensen line appears to be the first of many fourth line auditions for all three players. The other two lines appear to be first looks at players on the outside looking in.
As for the blue line, there are four potential opening night players suiting up tomorrow. The intrigue is with Adam Clendening and Brady Skjei, but all eyes will be on Marc Staal and Dan Girardi. They need strong preseasons.
