In an expected move, the Rangers have returned winger Marek Hrivik to Hartford. Hrivik played four games with the Rangers, registering an assist while playing fourth line and penalty kill minutes. Hrivik only played to a 39% CF (-4.8% rel), but the team as a while didn’t really control possession while he was with the club in that small sample. This move was expected with the Eric Staal trade.

The move opens up slightly more cap space for a minor move to address the fourth line/penalty kill. Nothing is rumored, but they have the space available.
