I watched the first period last night. The Rangers dominated the Canucks for basically all but the first shift of the game. There were one or two blips –Derek Dorsett burning Dylan McIlrath comes to mind– but for the most part, the Rangers controlled the play. They killed the Ryan McDonagh penalty at the end of the period without giving up much. They had a 27-9 shot attempt advantage, and didn’t allow a scoring chance for the first 14 minutes.

Use this to discuss the game last night. These west coast games are killer. Sorry folks.
