It’s been three long months, but hockey season is almost upon us. In just two weeks, New York Rangers hockey will return. Since it is September, and Labor Day is essentially the last day of summer, it’s time that we ramp things up for the season.

We’ve been taking the summer pretty lightly, posting once per day with the occasional weekend post. That will change to two posts per day during the week and once per day on the weekends when the season starts. There’s no exact date yet, but figure it will be around the end of September/early October.

We have Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts of all of the writers. The links are in the sidebar. Make sure you’re connected to us throughout the season. There is also a section in the sidebar called Mailbag, and you should use that to send me any questions you have. We will get to questions once per week, most likely on Saturdays.

New for this season will be our partnership with Sporting News to deliver exclusive video content. We are very excited to have this partnership, as it will help us deliver better and unique content throughout the season. I will also be continuing with www.nyrgifs.com, providing GIFs of goals, defensive plays, saves, hits, and anything else that gets requested. Be sure to make requests during games to me on Twitter (@blueseatblogs), and I will do my best to honor all requests.

I know you don’t have to use our BSB Tickets link to buy tickets. But if you’re going to a third party for tickets, it would be greatly appreciated if you could support the blog as well. Not saying to go and spend your life savings on tickets, just saying that if you happen to be going to a third party for tickets, why not ours? Plus if you want a promo code, shoot me a mention on Twitter, and I’ll reach out to TiqIQ to get you one.

One final thing: I’m sure you all do this already, since they are another fantastic Rangers blog, but you should also be reading Blueshirt Banter on a regular basis. They are good friends….except for Joe, because @#$% Joe….and they are all great writers as well. If it hasn’t been covered here at BSB (which is rare), it will be covered there.
