The Rangers and Penguins are back at it tonight for Game Two of their series. The Rangers took Game One by a score of 2-1 in a surprisingly undisciplined game by the Penguins. In typical Ranger fashion, the Blueshirts ignored the shenanigans, played their game, and took Game One. The Rangers seem to play better when their opponent plays foolishly reckless, so keep that stuff coming.
The Pens still have to go without Kris Letang, Christian Ehrhoff, Olli Maata, and Pascal Dupuis, but I believe they are getting Derrick Pouliot back to help strengthen their blue line (I’m still on vacation, so at the writing of this post I’m assuming he’s back, if he’s not then it will be the same lineup as Game One. The Rangers are still without Kevin Klein tonight, the only injury the Blueshirts are facing at the moment. Dan Girardi is in the lineup after taking a puck to the jaw in Game One, so that’s still good.
Justin did a full goalie preview of Marc-Andre Fleury, as the Rangers will look to exploit his playoff shortcomings. I wrote a comprehensive series preview, and you should definitely check out both if you haven’t yet already.
